About

COUPAR Design is the natural evolution of COUPAR. Since 2007, founder and CEO Krista Coupar offers a one of a kind place for industry firms to outsource their design business needs to a skilled team. COUPAR’s services range from design, pipeline management, and marketing support.

Our unique positioning within the design community and proven success aligned us with high level architects, builders, artisans, and vendors. Leveraging our industry relationships and years of expertise, we now independently design projects under COUPAR Design, while still maintaining COUPAR’s offerings.

We articulate the homeowner’s vision, from a classic Tudor-style Edwardian with rich tones to a modern Big Sur estate with minimalist, natural elements. We listen to clients' dreams, fears, likes, and dislikes to give them a unique home where they live, celebrate holidays and birthdays, and watch the passage of time.

Meet the Designers

Teresa Kintz // Principal

As a Principal at COUPAR Design, Teresa Kintz sets the aesthetic and operational tone for the company, bridging interior design and tech. Teresa has implemented a high level of organization while keeping a holistic vision for the design process to streamline the client experience. She holds a B.A. in Interior Design from Sacramento State and agrees with Charles Eames, “The details are not the details. They make the design.”

Julia Marani // Design Director

COUPAR Design Director Julia Marani comes from a family in architecture, and it might have been natural for her to choose that profession. Instead, the New York City native chose an adjacent design path with an Art and Architectural History degree from Skidmore College. A passion for art, furniture, fabrics, and finishes led Julia to an interior design career while still exhibiting architectural attention to detail.

Roshie Larijani // Design Director

Design Director Roshie Larijani has managed projects from concept to installation and is instrumental in hiring and training new studio team members. Born and raised in San Jose, Roshie comes to COUPAR with a BA in Interior Architecture and Design from the Academy of Arts University. Her cultural background influenced her aesthetics, exposing her to the vibrancy of Iranian textiles and exquisitely crafted Persian rugs.

Senior Lead Designer Paige Bellante nimbly transferred her skills in visual merchandising to interior design. Before coming to COUPAR, the UCSC graduate worked for companies such as Anthropologie and Nordstrom, creating ephemeral window displays and functional floor plans. The experience taught her space planning and color theory, while retail's tight deadlines dovetailed nicely with designing high-end homes for discerning clients.
